THE family of a Dublin man missing since January are appealing for information after a possible sighting of him in Letterkenny.

Patrick (Paddy) Douglas (64) originally from East Wall but now living in Woodville, Coolock, is approximately 5’11 with bluish green eyes and receeding black/grey hair.

He was last seen on Amien Street, Dublin, at approximately 5 pm on Sunday, January 5. He was wearing a tan coloured leather jacket, dark trousers and black Nike runners on the day of this disappearance.

He left home as normal, however, he did not bring his mobile phone, passport of Post Office book. But he did bring his bus pass.

Following, following the latest episode of Crimecall on RTE, a Donegal man contacted Gardai so say he spoke to a man fitting the description of Mr Douglas in Letterkenny on Wednesday, January 8, outside Letterkenny Shopping Centre, close to the bus station.

The Dublin man, possibly Mr Douglas, told the local man he had a friend in Gweedore and was planning to go and see him.

If you have any information about the missing man, please contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200 or any local Garda Station.
