THERE has been deep sadness locally following the passing of Letterkenny man Brian Connolly.
The former St Eunan’s Letterkenny student was a well-known barman in Offaly, having moved there some years ago.
Mr Connolly, of Ballicknahee, Clara, Offaly, passed away peacefully in Tullamore Hospital surrounded by his loving family, friends and co-workers on Monday, February 17.
The Brewery Tap in Tullamore led tributes to the well-known barman.
“Brian was a great worker and a very accomplished barman,” a spokesperson said.
“He was always in great humour and up for the craic.
“Brian will be sadly missed by all his work colleagues in Tullamore General Hospital and by everyone out in Tom and Gerry’s bar in Balinagar.
“We would like to offer our deepest condolences to Brian’s family and wide circle of friends.”
Another tribute read: “You were a gentleman that always went over and under for everyone. You will be sadly missed.”
Mr Connolly is predeceased by his parents Eileen and Brendan.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Martina, brother Noel, partner Jenny, children Lauren, Jordan (Adam), Brandon, Katie and Emma (Dylan), Lauren and Brandon’s mother Lisa, nieces Nicole and Sam, relatives, friends, staff at the Tullamore Hospital and Tom and Gerry’s Bar.
