A WELL-known West Donegal journalist is going back to her roots as she joins RTÉ Raidio na Gaeltachta later this summer.
Áine Ní Bhreisleáin is stepping out from in front of the Nuacht TG4/RTÉ cameras and behind the microphones of the RTÉ RnaG studios in Doirí Beaga where the Gaoth Dobhair native first cut her teeth as a student journalist.
“While I was still studying Irish and History at UCD (University College Dublin) in 2006, I handed in my cv and thanks to Seamus Mac Géidigh (station manager) got to work part-time in Doirí Beaga over the next two years,” said Áine.
Áine will be joining a team that she knows very well. “Most of the people working at RnaG were there when I first started there and a lot of them are actually close friends. I’m definitely looking forward to joining them and the new opportunities that will arise.”
