On scooping the awards, Raju was cock-a-hoop, praising both his staff and the loyal customer base which has served the business well.

He commented, “This incredible achievement would not have been possible were it not for our dedicated staff, whose hard work and passion shine through every day and the loyal customers for their unwavering support.”

Raju also spoke of how The Chilli Lounge is constantly evolving to suit the tastes of its clientele.

He added, “We are always working hard, trying to do something different; changing the menu and introducing new dishes. It is important for us to ensure our customers experience all different types of Indian food culture.

“We try to do authentic Indian food ‘the real way’ which, I think, is what makes us different from the many other Indian restaurants out there. I think that’s what makes us different from the rest and why we receive these awards.”
