TWO Covid-19 pop-up vaccination clinics will be held in Buncrana tomorrow and Saturday.
The clinics will be held in the Exchange Inishowen, Castle Avenue, Buncrana, from 11am to 5.45pm for those aged 12 years and over for dose one, dose two and booster vaccines.
Those 65 years and over who are eligible for a second booster may also attend on the day.
Please note 12 – 15 year olds must be accompanied by parent/guardian and walk-ins are welcome.
Operational Site Manager, Letterkenny CVC, Donna Carroll said, “Getting your child vaccinated is a decision between you and your child. If you have any questions regarding your child’s vaccination then please speak to staff at our vaccination centres, they will be available to provide you with further information.
“Two doses of Covid vaccine are recommended 21/28 days apart. A booster dose for children aged 5-11 has not been recommended by the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (N IAC) or approved by the European Medicines Agency currently.
“Vaccines are strongly recommended by the NIAC for children aged 5 to 11 years who live with underlying conditions, living with a younger child with complex medical needs, living with a person who has a weak immune system (immunocompromised).
“The Letterkenny CVC offers clinics for children 5-11 years on a Saturday between 10.15am and 12.30pm in the month of June.”
