AFTER a hugely successful 2018 show in No 58 Venue in Letterkenny, South African pop-punk outfit The Soapgirls make their return to the cathedral town this Friday night.
Appearing in the same venue, the duo will be supported by local Letterkenny punk band Dogmandu and Derry rising youngsters No Collusion, who scored a viral hit of their own recently with their single ‘Aw Naw’.
Sisters Camille and Mie Debray form The Soapgirls along with English drummer Sam Ogden, and their relentless worldwide touring schedule sees them stop in Letterkenny this week, following on from sold out shows all across the UK in the past two weeks.
Over 100 people packed into No 58 Letterkenny, above Central Bar, to catch their all-energy live show last August and a similar large crowd is expected for their return to the town, with a keenly priced €6 entry on the door.
With tens of thousands of online followers, The Soapgirls have built up a strong foundation for their tours and their interaction with their fans is something that keeps the punters coming back for more.
Local act Dogmandu themselves have built up a solid foundation and recently featured their cult classic song ‘Cereal Killer’ on a charity punk EP, via Mark Dorrian, in aid of We Care Food Bank.
Derry based No Collusion scored a viral hit with their single ‘Aw Naw’, released in May, with 50,000 views so far, and are one of the fastest rising young punk bands on the Irish scene, one to be sure to catch in your local venue while you can.
Admission on the night is just €6 and doors are open at 9pm with a number of drinks promotions on offer at the venue.
