Police in Scotland continue to investigate woman’s murder

POLICE in Scotland investigating the murder of a Gaoth Dobhair woman who was found dead in a flat in south Lanarkshire in December have said they are keen to hear from anyone with information.

Ann Coll (61) sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene in a first floor flat in Rutherglen.

Ms Coll was last seen visiting her local shop to buy cigarettes on December 19 at 8.48am, accompanied by her collie dog.

Scottish Police have said they are treating Ms Coll’s death as murder following the results of a post mortem examination.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Donegal News: “The investigation is continuing and officers remain keen to hear from anyone with information that may assist.”
