Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair blew Scoil Mhuire Buncrana away in the second half in Convoy to reach the semi-final of the Markey Cup.

In tough conditions at the Centre of Excellence, the game was level at 0-4 apiece at the break as Dylan Mulholland and Aaron Duggan (Buncrana), Colm Ó Dochartaigh and Pádraig Mac Giolla Bhríde (Gaoth Dobhair) hit two points each.

Danny Curran’s men had a brilliant start to the second half and went five clear before a Duggan goal brought it back to a one point game.

But an unfortunate own goal a minute later and another three pointer from Mac Giolla Bhríde ensured they would be marching on to the final four of the competition.
