By Harry Walsh PLANS are being made for a new €4 million medical training school in Letterkenny. The Donegal News learned yesterday (Thursday) that senior officials in the HSE along with senior businessmen and friends of the hospital are putting the plans in place to build a comprehensive medical education and research facility at Letterkenny General Hospital. NUIG is to contribute €2 million towards the overall cost.

The news follows a donation of €200,000 to the hospital recently from well known Donegal born businessman Mr Hugh Green who resides in New Zealand.

While official details of the plan are currently not available sources have confirmed to the Donegal News the project is being pursued at the highest levels.
