MURVAGH Beach, one of Donegal’s most beautiful locations, will be more accessible than ever this summer thanks to a new wheelchair and hoist which were officially unveiled at a special event at the beach on Friday.
Terry McGroarty, Ballintra did the honours by cutting the ribbon at the launch. It was Terry’s first time on the beach in 25 years.
Michelle Travers from the Friends of Murvagh Beach committee has been singled out for praise following her diligent work with various agencies to bring this project to fruition.
Organisers say the wheelchair and hoist will make an enormous difference to those living with a disability as it will allow them to experience the beach and water like never before.
