Pettigo church ransacked in burglary

GARDAÍ are appealing for information in relation to a burglary that occurred at St. Mary’s Church on the Main Street in Pettigo on Thursday, July 17 between 9am and 4pm.

“The door to the Sacristy was forced open and entry was gained. The Sacristy was ransacked but nothing is believed to have been stolen,” a garda spokesperson said.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity, vehicles or people in that area on that date to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.
