Petition launched to save Oak tree

By Tara McCormack

A campaign to save a 90-year-old oak tree in Letterkenny has moved up a gear with the launch of a petition calling on Donegal County Council to halt plans to cut down the tree.

The petition – named ‘Stop the Removal of the Historic Sessile Oak Tree in Ballyraine’ – aims to protect a cherished landmark that has stood for nearly a century.
