Permission granted for 23 new homes in Dunfanaghy

DONEGAL County Council has granted planning permission for 23 new homes in Dunfanaghy.

CR Renaissance Properties with a registered company address at C/O Charles Roarty, Duntally, Creeslough sought permission to build the new homes on Horn Head Road on the outskirts of the town as well as connection to the public sewer and all associated site works.

The Council sought further information from the developer requesting details on footpath widths for the development, details about the provision of pedestrian linkages to a number of houses and details on the provision of public lighting among other items.

After receiving the information Council planners granted permission with 24 conditions attached.

Among the stipulations set by the local authority was that the houses cannot be used as holiday homes.

The developer must also agree a construction management plan with the Council and electrical and telephone services must be underground.

An archaeologist must carry out an assessment of the site and before any of the houses can be occupied all roads, footpaths, public lighting, water supply and foul sewers must be completed.

The developer must pay a contribution of almost €44,000 in respect of public infrastructure and facilities benefiting development in the area.

Before work can start the developer must also pay the council security of €115,000 for provision and completion of all services.
