Peoples wants to keep momentum going

Milford captain Paddy Peoples says his side want to keep their momentum going when they face Glenswilly this Sunday at 5pm

The Moyle View Park outfit were relegated from Division 1 earlier this year, but have found form at the right time.

They have beaten Four Masters and Glenfin to qualify for the quarter-finals, and have already been confirmed as group winners.

With that in mind, they could decide to take the foot off the gas this week and rest players ahead of their last eight encounter.

However, Peoples says it won’t be easy to get any of his teammates to take a break this weekend.

“No one in our squad would want to be rested at this moment. Momentum is key and we’d like to bring the momentum we currently have into the last eight.

“We’d only won two games in the league and now we’ve won back-to-back Championship matches. It’s important to keep all that on track.

“Coming out on the wrong end of a result might set us back a step or two. Danny (O’Donnell) and the management will, I’m sure, have a plan in place.”
