Pensioner taken to hospital after collision in Raphoe

A MAN in his eighties has been taken to hospital following a one vehicle collision in Raphoe.

Around 10am today (Tuesday), Gardaí attended the scene of a single road traffic collision at Meadowhill, Raphoe.

Following the collision, a man in his early 80s was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital.

Diversions are currently in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said, “The road remains closed at this time and is likely to reopen later this afternoon.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
