Armagh took charge in the third quarter and they moved four points ahead as Donegal struggled to work scores.

Donegal didn’t give up and they were level by the 64th minute after some great scores from Niall O’Donnell, Jason McGee, and Patrick McBrearty.

Neither team could get any more scores so the game went to extra-time.

Armagh edged the first half of extra-time by three points to two but Donegal fought back to force penalties.

Both teams scored their first five spot-kicks before Aaron Doherty notched a sixth for Donegal.

Shaun Patton was then the hero when he saved from Shane McPartlan.
