The game would go the whole way to penalties and Danny Ahearne converted before Garbhan Friel levelled.

Harry Doherty saved Eoin Murphy’s penalty as Peter Doherty got Cockhill 2-1 up.

Luke Casey and Stephen Duffy both found the back of the net as Adam Mylod levelled it with Rockmount having hit a penalty more.

But Christy Fildara McLaughlin’s penalty was saved by Brendan O’Connell but Harry Doherty would again save from Martin Connolly.

Corey McBride had a chance to win it for Gavin Cullen’s men but he blazed over and Cian Murphy put Rockmount in the driving seat.

Cockhill captain Jimmy Bradley stepped up to take the penalty in sudden death but hit the crossbar as Rockmount retained their FAI Intermediate Cup.
