Pedestrians brought to hospital following incident in Dungloe

Several people were removed to Letterkenny University Hospital on Saturday evening following an accident just off Dungloe’s Main Street.

A van went out of control at the Main Street junction with Carnmore Road, crashing into the side of a pub.

A number of pedestrians, including children, were reportedly hit by the van, and according to eyewitnesses a pram was badly crushed.

Children were among those removed by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

Gardaí closed the road between Greene’s Corner and the Main Street for examination and diversions were put in place.
