It proved to be a night to remember for Drumkeen teenager Sean Patton as he scored his first goal for Reading.
Patton notched the only goal of the game as Reading edged past MK Dons in their final group stage fixture of this season’s Vertu Motors Trophy.
The 19-year-old was introduced by Reading manager and former Republic of Ireland striker Noel Hunt in the 85th minute at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

It took the former St Eunan’s College student only three minutes to find the net and score the winner.
