Parish public consultation on new church for Derrybeg

By Tommy Curran

A parish-wide public consultation regarding a new church at Derrybeg to replace the former church which was completely destroyed by fire on Easter Monday took place on Monday evening in Ionad an Acadaimh, Gaoth Dobhair.

It was led by MacDara Hosty Consultancy, and was chaired by Fr. Brian Ó Fearraigh, P.P.

This process gave everyone in the parish the opportunity to share their thoughts, hopes, and aspirations for the new church.

MacDara Hosty will now carefully gather and compile all feedback into a formal report, which will then be provided to the selected architectural team.,

This ensures that the lived experience, values, and aspirations of the parish community directly shape the design and vision of the future church.
