PARENTS are being blamed for for the rpesence of drunken children staggering helplessly on the streets of Donegal on St Patrick’s Day.
A 13-year old was treated in hospital for drink abuse while local hospital sources have also reported that youths had to have their stomachs pumped due to the over consumption of alcohol.
The sight of many drunken youths on the streets of the town after the St Patrick’s Day parade has become a source of major concern amongst locals.
Speaking to the Donegal News, Mr Eamon O’Kane, Director of the North West Alcohol Forum, said this was a worrying trend.
