ON SUNDAY night Donegal singer Paddy Molloy sailed through to the next round of this year’s The Voice of Ireland on RTÉ One.
On Team Kian, the affable young Glenties singer had the highest score and went straight through to the next stage following his fantastic performance of the The One Direction hit, Story Of My Life.
Former Westlife star Kian Egan, who has just launched his own solo career, described Glenties man Paddy as a dark horse. “I am really happy with that, you get the audience, you do have a pop star quality’
A giggling Jamelia, visibly smitten with Paddy, said she ‘really enjoyed watching the performance’. Commenting that Jamelia was ‘like a dog in heat’, Bressie then returned to Paddy’s performances saying that were ‘real glimpses’. Cranberries star,Dolores O’Riordan noted that Paddy was enjoying himself.
The act with the highest vote from each team went straight through to the next round, with the coaches deciding who should stay and who should go home from the bottom two. Performances divided the coaches’ opinions and Jamelia came to blows with her fellow coaches telling them they were voting strategically.
It’s now down to the Final 16 and we need Donegal to get behind Paddy Molloy every Sunday night at 6.30pm on RTÉ One to keep him in the competition and take this year’s title of The Voice Of Ireland.
