Over €70,000 raised following ‘Summit 2 Sea for MND’ challenge

OVER €70,000 has been raised for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association following Saturday’s Summit 2 Sea for MND event.

In August 2022, Moville’s Adrian Harkin was diagnosed with MND.

Determined to leave a legacy behind, he organised the biggest, most technical challenge in Ireland with the aim of having teams paddle around Ireland and climb to the 32 highest points in 12 hours.

Taking to social media last night to extend their heartfelt gratitude, Adrian and the Organisation Team thanked everyone who participated in the challenge.

“Your dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering support have truly made this event a success beyond measure.

“Whether you donated, paddled, or walked, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on from afar, your contributions have made a difference in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

“Your support has helped Adrian and the team raise awareness for MND.

“As we reflect on the incredible moments shared during the Summit 2 Sea for MND, let us carry forward the spirit of camaraderie, compassion, and resilience.

“Together, we are making waves of change and leaving a lasting legacy in the fight against MND.

“Thanks is not enough.

“Everyone who touched the Summit 2 Sea for MND campaign has made Adrian’s four little words “I’ve got a plan” a reality we will be forever grateful,” the post concluded.
