DONEGAL County Council is spending more than €4,300 a week on street cleaning in Letterkenny, Cllr Tómas Seán Devine has been informed.
The budget for street cleaning is currently just under €225,000 per annum. This figure includes the cost of road sweeping using mechanical road sweepers and also the cost of emptying litter bins.
Meanwhile, €19,208 was spent on street cleaning in other towns in the Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District Council last year.
