More than €18,000 was raised from Castletown National School’s recent Tractor Run which was raising funds for the development of a new school playground.
A total of € 18,750.46 was raised from the event with 170 tractors taking part on the day.
The organisers have said they were “overwhelmed” by the support shown and have thanked everyone who helped make it such a success.
“We are absolutely delighted and we thank each person who contributed in any way to this between sponsorships, tractors turning up on the day, tickets bought for the raffle and donations. The kids are one step closer to getting the new playground,” said a spokesperson.
