Opinions Sought from Buncrana & Carndonagh Residents

The second phase of a public consultation process, regarding the Buncrana to Carndonagh Greenway Project, is about to get underway.

The initiative aims to provide an attractive trail between Buncrana and Carndonagh, mainly to be used for recreational purposes by pedestrians, cyclists and people with impaired mobility.

Donegal County Council, with the support of Transport Infrastructure Ireland, are inviting residents of the area, members of the public and other interested parties to participate in the second non-statutory public consultation process.

The current phase of the project involves the development and assessment of potential route corridors to determine a ‘Preferred Option’. Following the feedback received during the first public consultation held in April 2023, a number of Route Corridor Options have been identified

Two in-person public consultation events will take place in Buncrana and Carndonagh as follows:

Carndonagh PSC, Malin Road, Carndonagh, F93 YV1N
Thursday 7th December – 14:00 – 20:00
