Open Day at Letterkenny Garda Station this weekend

GARDAÍ will host an open day at Letterkenny Garda Station on Saturday.

The open day takes place between 12pm and 4pm. A sensory hour will be held between 11am and 12pm, during which time the lights and sirens will not be used.

A garda spokesperson said: “Should anybody have any requests/requirements in order to be able to safely/comfortably attend the sensory hour then please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.”

VIP guests will be honorary Garda members from Little Blue Heroes.

“We hope to have something to suit everybody at the event. There will be face painting, the soak a Garda Stand, live music and arts and crafts. We will be joined by the mounted unit, the armed support unit, the dog unit, the water unit and air support. We will also be joined by a number of outside agencies on the day.

“We are hoping for a good turnout and we look forward to seeing everybody there. Everybody is very welcome to come along.”

Gardaí are advising that parking will not be available at Letterkenny Garda Station on the day, but should anybody require disabled parking spaces they will be accommodated.
