ST MICHAEL’S know that they must defeat St Eunan’s at the Bridge on Sunday to make the Donegal SFC quarter-finals.
Gary O’Neill’s St Michael’s spurned an opportunity to qualify last week when they lost to Gaoth Dobhair but they will have a second bite at the cherry this week.
“It was always likely to come down to this game,” said O’Neill.
“I suppose the draw between St Eunan’s and Gaoth Dobhair kind of put us on a pedestal that if we won last week we were through to the quarter-finals.
“We didn’t win that game so it all comes down to the final match.
“For us this week it’s just a case of recovering as best we can, and getting ready for a big battle.”
