Power was lost in several areas of Letterkenny this afternoon, including Ashlawn, Ballyraine and sections of the Main Street.
The outage occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. and was attributed to a “major fault” on the line, according to ESB Networks. Initial restoration was expected by 1:30 p.m.
While power was briefly restored at 1:30 pm, it immediately went out again. A full restoration was confirmed just before 2:00 p.m.

ESB Networks has not indicated whether further disruptions are expected.
