Donegal hurler Jack O’Loughlin bemoaned a lack of ruthlessness as his team lost to Meath in the Division 2B League Final on Sunday and missed out on promotion.
In the end Meath’s greater accuracy in front of the posts saw them through by six points, but wasteful Donegal missed 1-6 during a period of dominance in the third quarter.
“I thought we played well out there and we stuck with them for 60 minutes, but the legs got tired towards the end and they sort of opened us up and got the scores,” said O’Loughlin after the match.
