Oktoberfest returns to The Cottage Bar, Letterkenny

THE Cottage Bar is bringing Oktoberfest back to Letterkenny from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28, with a weekend packed with live music, German beer, snacks and plenty of atmosphere.

All steins are €10, featuring a specially selected range of German brews and local favourites from
Kinnegar, and festival-goers can enjoy a variety of tasty snacks throughout the weekend.

The celebrations begin on Friday at 8pm with Marcus & Ally, a classical and flamenco guitar duo known for their fast, intricate style.

At 10pm, the Shindig House Band take the stage, delivering an energetic mix of hip hop, funk and soul that keeps the crowd moving.

On Saturday, Lonesome Pete kicks off at 3pm with solo acoustic blues from Northern Ireland, followed at 5pm by George Houston.

One of the North West’s most exciting talents, Houston blends folk, rock and synthwave, and recently toured with Paul Weller, performing at prestigious venues across the USA, UK and Ireland.

At 6.30pm, the Soggy Bottom Boys take over, bringing energetic shows, unique covers, with crowdpleasing guitar and vocals.

At 9pm, the Jack McHale Trio, fresh from a Canadian tour, deliver electrifying blues, funk, and soul, led by Jack’s searing guitar.

DJ Dano closes Saturday from 11pm with highenergy sets of chart hits and dancefloor anthems.

On Sunday, September 28, from 3.30pm to 4.45pm, the Strabane Brass Band will perform an afternoon concert in our garden.

This award-winning 30-piece band will entertain with a programme of musical soundtracks from movies and musicals.

It is the first time that the Cottage Bar has hosted an event of this size and it is sure to be one of the musical highlights of the year.

At 5pm, The Hoor & The Hallion bring traditional and rebel songs, followed by High Heeled Converse at 7pm.

The festival concludes at 9pm with Bull, Buck & Bear, a soulful three-piece blues act.

With three days of diverse performances, €10 steins of German and Kinnegar beers, a range of snacks and a welcoming atmosphere, Oktoberfest at The Cottage Bar promises something for everyone.
