Donegal underage star Conor O’Donnell faces a long spell on the sideline after rupturing his cruciate last week.
The Carndonagh clubman has played minor and Under 20 football for Donegal over the last couple of years.
A versatile player, O’Donnell was arguably the Donegal Under 20 team’s star man during their league and championship campaign this year.
While still underage for that grade again next season, it was thought that he might also see some game time for the seniors in the McKenna Cup and the league.
However, O’Donnell will now be sidelined for at least nine months as he becomes the latest victim of the dreaded cruciate injury.
