Liam O’Donnell was part of the Fanad United that won the FAI Youth Cup in 1979.
Fanad had a brilliant team under Fr Michael Sweeney and defeated Shelbourne in the final at Swilly Park.
“The real difference I suppose was John McElwaine. He had come back from Bradford and that was huge for us,” said O’Donnell.
