Oakfield Park is gearing up for a weekend of delicious food, exceptional craft and live entertainment, as they prepare for the Donegal Festival of Food and Craft which takes place in May.
The two-day event, set in The Paddock of the Upper Gardens extending down to the Allée in the Lower Gardens of Oakfield Park, will showcase the finest local artisan food, crafts, and drink from across the North West.
The festival promises to be a feast for the senses, with cooking demonstrations by a star-studded line-up of chefs, including the legendary Marco Pierre White, popular TV chef Rachel Allen, and celebrated chef and broadcaster Paula McIntyre, alongside our local culinary stars.
In addition, a host of well-known figures from the Donegal’s food scene will take part, with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.
Food lovers will also be treated to the presence of renowned food critic Matthew Fort, while Highland Radio’s John Breslin will serve as the event’s MC, adding to the excitement of the weekend.
The weekend promises to be a celebration of the exceptional food, drink and craftsmanship that the North West has to offer.

Visitors will enjoy not only live cooking demonstrations but also an array of delicious food and drink from local producers, craft brewers and food artisans.
Alongside the culinary offerings, festival goers can browse unique handmade items from local crafters and enjoy live entertainment and music throughout the weekend.
There will also be plenty of family friendly activities to keep the little ones entertained.
In addition to providing a platform for local talent, the festival presents an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their businesses and connect with foodies and craft enthusiasts.
Festival organisers are inviting local businesses and producers to apply for limited exhibition spaces at the event.
