THE fairies at Oakfield Park in Raphoe are seeking the help of the public in tracing a little girl named Brónach so that her wish can be granted.
The fairy tree, deep in the heart of Oakfield Park contains dozens of wishes placed their by visiting children. However, in recent days the wind blew one of the wishes off the tree and straight to the door of the fairies’ home.
Brónach had asked the fairies for a hat “the same as Jessie the Cowgirl from Toy Story”. They have uploaded a video to their facebook page in the hope that the public can help find Brónach so that they fairies can give her the hat she had asked for.
The video explains how the fairies have made this tree their home.
“Children of all ages hang their wishes, hoping the fairies will help them. The wishes always stayed on the tree until one very windy day, the wind shook the branches until one wish couldn’t hold on. It fell from the tree and the wind carried it to the door.
“The fairies found Brónach’s wish which read ‘Brónach would like a hat the same as Jessie the cowgirl from Toy Story please fairies xoxo’.”
“They took the wish inside. A few moments passed until their magic spell was ready and the wish was granted.”
But now the fairies need help to find Brónach and give her the hat and make her wish come true.
