DONEGAL’S much anticipated family friendly festival, Oakfest, is back again for 2023 with a stellar line up of acts set to take to the stage.
On September 9 and 10, Oakfield Park will transform into a music festival with two very different line ups, across two stages with something for everyone to enjoy.
On, Saturday September 9, the Queen of Rock and Roll – Suzi Quatro will be the headline act.
The Scottish pop rock band The Bay City Rollers and Irish Blues/rock Power Trio The Davy K project will take the stage while the recently reformed The Wailin Banshees will perform their unique energetic sound of Irish flavoured classics and rock.
Proving to be a firm favourite and back once again by popular demand are the sensational Sheerbuzz.
Newcomers to Oakfest are three up and coming local bands, 9 Foot Lizzards, a rock duo whose focus is bringing rock and roll music back to the youth, DiG!, a genre bending alternative band, fusing catchy riffs with dance beats and Rac’s Roll,an original Ballybofey band, complete the line up on Saturday.
Day two promises to be something a little different with headliners Boyzlife. The supergroup formed by long time pals Keith Duffy and Brian Mc Fadden who previously appeared as members of Boyzone and Westlife.
Glasgow born, Irish artist Lisa McHugh, Onóir, a group of four Donegal musicians and super performer Donegal singer/songwriter Rory & The Island, will take to the stage on Sunday.
SuperCéilí is a unique Irish Dance Music show – an intersection between traditional Irish dance tunes and modern pop and dance hits, offers something for everybody and represents an ultra-modern, thoroughly Irish, unforgettable experience.
The Beefsteak Dancers are a dynamic band of top seasoned musicians performing hit after hit, they will guarantee to have you dancing.
Next up and bound to impress music fans is Donegal based singer-songwriter George Houston, with his unique ability to connect with the listener making him a popular addition to our line-up.
Capping off Day two’s line up is Letterkenny native Arn – With several singles under his belt and an appetite to bring Letterkenny to the world and is gearing up to be next up on Ireland’s conveyor belt of DIY trailblazers.
