Ó Dochartaigh on the double as Donegal defeat Tyrone

Donegal 2-12 Tyrone 1-8

Donegal claimed their first Ulster Minor Championship win over Tyrone since 2015 with an emphatic victory against the Red Hands in Ballyshannon today.

Barry Ward’s Donegal played against the breeze in the first half and they worked hard. Colm Ó Dochartaigh’s 30th minute goal was a massive score and the sides were level at the break.

HT: Donegal 1-3 Tyrone 0-6

Ó Dochartaigh bagged a second goal early in the second half and Donegal also reeled off five points without reply.

Liam McMurray replied with a three-pointer for Tyrone but they were very much second best on the day.

Donnacadh Ó Baoighill, Ó Dochartaigh and Pauric Devine all kicked points late on as Donegal ran out deserved victors.
