Gaoth Dobhair defender Daire Ó Baoill is hoping to be given a starting position in the Donegal team for Sunday’s match with Fermanagh.
Ó Baoill impressed in his debut season with Donegal last year and made five championship appearances as a replacement.
He also added pace and dynamism to Bonner’s side in the latter stages of the league this spring.
The 21-year-old will be pushing hard for a starting spot on Sunday, but acknowledges that he is not alone in that regard.
“I would like to get a first start. But there are 30 lads in the squad and they are all looking for the same thing. They all want to be in the starting team.
“After last year and those appearances from the bench have given me the hunger to get more championship action and hopefully make the starting team.”
