DAIRE Ó Baoill was glad to see his team come through a tough battle against Tyrone on Sunday.
Donegal were well beaten by the Red Hands last year but they are a different animal now.
That said, they didn’t have it all their own way on Sunday and Tyrone looked like they were going to hold on for victory before Donegal forced extra-time.
Ó Baoill came back on for the additional time and helped his team prevail by two points.
“My heart was fairly going ninety in extra-time but it was one of those battles and we are really really glad that we are through.
“It’s our first proper battle since Jim has come in and we are just absolutely delighted that we came out on the right side of it.
“I think it might have showed that we had the legs coming into the last two or three minutes and we had the right men getting on the ball with composure.”
