Northern Ireland prisoner may be at large in Donegal

POLICE in Northern Ireland believe a remand prisoner who is unlawfully at large could be travelling in Donegal and Derry.
According to information issued by the PSNI, James Donegan is awaiting sentencing for a number of serious offences including attempted hijacking.
 
The 30-year-old failed to return to custody at Maghaberry Prison on Monday, October 22, after being granted compassionate bail by the court.
 
Police believe Donegan may now be in Donegal or Derry and may also be involved in further criminal activity.
 
Donegal is described as being around 5ft 9in tall and of medium build with light brown hair.
 
A police spokesperson said he should hand himself in immediately. The public have been warned not to approach him but to contact the authorities if they have further information.
