THE North West Simon Community would like to express its sincere gratitude to everyone who supported Simon week 2014 campaign to raise much-needed awareness of homelessness throughout Donegal last week.
The charity would like to thank the many businesses for hosting events throughout the week, as well as the 25 volunteers who participated in the annual Street Sleep in Letterkenny,
The volunteers who braved the elements on Friday night came from all over the county and from various businesses and organisations.
North West Simon extends its thanks to the various Donegal secondary schools which participated in an art/creative writing competition and exhibition of which will open at ArtCo, Letterkenny on Monday, October 13 and runs until the 17th.
The exhibition will be open to the public and will provide an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of how the youth of today perceive homelessness in Donegal. To mark World Homeless Day, a coffee morning will be held in ArtCo on Friday, 17th from 10am-1pm.
