With the magical million euros mark now achieved the North West 10k Committee is inviting applications for the 2026 Charity Run and Walk which takes place on Monday 4th May in Letterkenny.
41 different charities over the past 28 years have benefitted to the tune of €1.019276.00. All this money has been shared by charities in Donegal. The million euros mark was passed this year and in recognition of that achievement the North West 10k Committees were recipients of a recent Mayors Reception by the Letterkenny/Milford Municipal District.
Chairperson Neil Martin is now asking interested charities to email their applications to toni@letterkennychamber.com. The closing date for applications is Friday 9th of January.
“We have passed the million euros mark that was a source of great satisfaction for all the North West 10k Committees going back to the first year in 1997. I would encourage community organisations to submit their applications as soon as possible and before the deadline of the 9th of January. All the money raised goes to charities in Donegal so this a great opportunity to raise much needed revenue for worthy causes. We will conduct the interviews and the successful charities will then be named at the North West 10k launch in early February.
