No new Covid-19 deaths have been reported to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC), the Department of Health has confirmed today.
The HPSC has been informed of 17 new cases of Covid-19.
There has now been 1,746 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland, and a total of 25,628 confirmed cases in the country.
There are no new cases in Donegal. The number of reported cases in the county stands at 468.
The HSE is working to identify any contacts patients may have had tproto priovide them with information to prevent further spread.
Dr Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, urged people to continue to protect themselves.
“Please continue to protect yourself and others – watch out for symptoms, wash your hands and wear a face covering where appropriate. If you have any concern about symptoms, do not delay – isolate yourself and contact your GP immediately.”
