No joy for Naomh Conaill against Scotstown

Scotstown 2-16 Naomh Conaill 0-16

Naomh Conaill came out second best against Scotstown in the Ulster Club Senior Championship this afternoon in Clones.

Naomh Conaill started the game reasonably well and were the better team in the first ten minutes but weren’t clinical enough.

However, Scotstown soon took control with Darragh Murray scoring a brace of goals.

The Monaghan champions played some super football and were 2-10 to 0-6 ahead at the break.

Shea Malone landed a trio of two-pointers in the second half for Naomh Conaill and Eoghan McGettigan was also on form.

Despite that, Scotstown were always in control with Max Maguire doing a lot of damage and they advance to the Ulster semi-finals.
