No joy for Harps as Cork prove too strong

Finn Harps 0-3 Cork City

FINN Harps fell short in their bid to reach the FAI Cup semi-finals as they were well beaten by Cork City at Finn Park this evening.

Harps felt they had a good chance going into the game with Cork struggling at the bottom of the League of Ireland Premier Division.

However, the away side started brilliantly with Evan McLaughlin scoring in the second minute before Sean Maguire doubled their lead in the tenth minute.

Gradi Lomboto did have a good chance for Harps but was denied by a super save.

Cork led 2-0 at the break and McLaughlin added another goal in the 73rd minute for the winners.
