Donegal 0-7 Cavan 2-9
The Donegal minor ladies had a slow start and struggled to make amends as they were beaten in the Ulster Minor Ladies Tier One Platinum final by Cavan in Silverbridge.
Declan McDermott’s side were sluggish in the opening stages with the rain lashing down and Cavan hit two goals in the first half as Katie O’Meara played in Kate Fegan for the first, while Fegan returned the favour just before half time as O’Meara hit the net.
That left it 2-6 to 0-2 at the break with Ava Walsh and Katie Dowds hitting the only scores for Donegal.
Eva Gallagher converted five frees in the second half but while Cavan only hit three points in the second half, they put in a matured performance to see out the win.
