DONEGAL Education and Training Board (ETB) has said no final decision has been reached on the future of its three remaining crèches in the county, in Letterkenny, Milford and Buncrana.
The ETB provided a statement to Donegal News following the closure of An Scoil Bheag in Gortahork last Friday.
A spokesperson for the body said: “Donegal ETB is currently reviewing the crèche provision attached to its Further Education and Training service. Recent legislative changes have resulted in increased numbers of crèche places being made available more widely across the county, leading to a reduction in demand for ETB crèche places.”
The statement said regretfully the crèche attached to the Gortahork ETB Further Education and Training Centre closed but said “no final decision has been reached as yet regarding the future of the crèches in Buncrana, Milford and Letterkenny”.
