Sligo Rovers 3-1 Finn Harps
Nine-man Finn Harps suffered defeat tonight as they lost out to Sligo Rovers in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division at the Showgrounds.
Sligo got off to a good start and Ryan De Vries gave them the lead in the seventh minute.
Alexander Kogler went close to scoring for Harps, but they still trailed 1-0 at the break.
Kogler missed another good chance before Mark Russell equalised with a deflected shot in the 59th minute.
However, Harps were dealt a blow one minute later when Mark Coyle was sent off for a second bookable offence. Ollie Horgan then saw red for his complaints after that decision.
Sligo regained the lead in the 74th minute when Ronan Murray fired a good shot past Mark Anthony McGinley.
Harps were reduced to nine men in the 83rd minute when Kosovar Sadiki received a second yellow after fouling Ronan Coughlan in the box.
Coughlan stepped up himself and made it 3-1 and that’s how the game ended.
Harps will look to pick things up again before they face Derry City at Finn Park on Sunday.
