THE next fundraiser for this year’s Féile Carraig Arts & Culture will take place at Teach Mickey Bans on Easter Sunday, March 31, from 2pm.
Following on from the success of the last two year’s similar event, the Tráthnóna Airneal will offer music, dancing and lots of craic.
They encourage music enthusiasts to bring along their own musical instruments, hoping to turn the event into a traditional session.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon and its guaranteed fun for all the family. All donations are in aid of Féile Carraig Arts & Culture 2013.
The third annual Féile Carraig Arts & Culture will take place August 23 to 25 in the parish of Mevagh and the organisers are very excited about their upcoming programme.
This year’s festival is a part of The Gathering national event, so the parish of Mevagh are encouraged to spread the word about the festival and invite someone home this summer.
Already confirmed for the weekend includes a family fun day, traditional music, football match, an open mic night, an art exhibition, craft stalls, a 10k walk, drawing day, tea dance, workshops, arts & crafts, song writing, dance, photography, food and beer tasting.
For more information on any of the above please call 085 136 0837 or Áine Doherty on 087 786 3929 or find the event on Facebook.
