A CHARITY Ball Fundraiser will take place on New Years Eve to raise funds for a virtual reality project for clients of Clara House in Killybegs.
The centre provides Day Services for adults with Intellectual Disability (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Plans to provide a state-of-the-art Virtual Reality Project for people with ID and ASD in Clara House are at an advanced stage.
The interactive technology will give opportunities for service users to experience a range of educational and leisure activities in different settings by way of virtual reality.
It is hoped that local schools and special needs services would benefit from this also. A committed group of service users, their families and HSE staff have formed a committee to fund-raise for this futuristic project.
As a result, a charity New Year’s Eve ball will be held on Thursday evening at 6:30pm in the Bay View Hotel, Killybegs.
Tickets are priced at €40 per person and are available via Carmel Boyle on 074 9741640 or by contacting the Bay View Hotel directly on 074 9731950. All donations will be greatly accepted.
